# Verified Profiles

A verified profile means that the data was confirmed by the owner or an official source.

Verified does not mean:

- best;
- sponsored first place;
- guaranteed recommendation;
- legal endorsement.

Verified means:

- the company or official source confirmed core data;
- last verified date is recorded;
- source confidence is clearer;
- the profile can be updated more reliably.

## How to claim a profile

The owner submits a claim request, provides contact information and confirms domain/email/official source when possible. Admin reviews the request and updates status.

## Local/demo workflow v0.1

Verified Profiles v0.1 is a local/admin-approved workflow, not a public production verification authority.

The supported demo flow is:

1. Owner submits a profile claim or update request from the public company profile page.
2. The request is stored as a private admin-lite verification request.
3. Admin reviews evidence and can set the claim to submitted, reviewing, approved, rejected or expired.
4. Approved claims can mark a non-sample organization as verified and record the last verified date plus an expiry date.
5. Expired verification can move the public profile back to stale review state.

Sample/demo records must not be approved as real verified profiles.
